Essentials
Clothing
Leggings (3/4 or full length) for women – great for walking, working, & swimming
Swimsuit and swim shorts ( to respect Muslim culture female guests should wear swim shorts and a t shirt over bathing suits)
Light long pants – no heavy jeans as they do not dry
T-shirts (plan for at least 2 per day as you will sweat a LOT)
Sleepwear – it is HOT at night so nothing too heavy
Socks/underwear – long socks are good for leech protection
Shorts
Light rain jacket – lightweight ponchos are best as they cover your pack
Light long-sleeved tops
Footwear
Flip flops or traveler’s sandals
Lightweight, non-slip trekking or trail shoes – you do not need heavy hiking boots unless you need ankle support. Shoes will get wet & muddy.
